ABOUT ME

Luca Gorini followed his father’s motorcycles passion. He starts going to the racetracks at 5 years old and from that moment he has never stopped.

One day, by chance, always together with his “Babbo” they start photographing motorcycles and pilots in the paddock, fascinated and bewitched by photography, having reached the age of majority with determination he begins to shoot in a more professional way, turning a simple passion into a real job .

Now follows WorldSBK and the CIV (Campionato Italiano Velocità) for various drivers and teams, with the aim of arriving in a stable way in MotoGP, another paddock that fascinates him from an early age.

WHAT WE DO

Study and Explore

I think know strategic point for circuits and how move inside is very important in our job. When I don’t know the track, I study a lot of past race videos or photos of my colleagues. This method is basic, in particular for large autodromes. So, if I have one free day before start of the weekend, I use this for walk along the track and I look particular places in tribune.

Using this method, I can be ready as much as possible. When I am in service roads it changes a lot of thing respect how you see a normal race. Friday is the most difficult day in the weekend because I must to bring back as much photos as I can. Saturday and Sunday are so different. There are a bit of practice in the morning followed by races in the afternoon and in the day after. The peculiarity of these days is the starting grid where I want capture riders and staff’s tension before the races.

Enjoy

After shooting photos all day, I choose and edit them in the evening. Media center is a place for us where we can work with wi-fi and our computers. I love this phase of my job because I can look details of my shot and it is rewarding for me if I look some particulars photos. Moreover I can edit some modify with computer that you only imagine or they are more exacting.
